Rededicate Yourself

Often, we go through our lives and somehow lose sight of our "way"- our goals, dreams, and aspirations. We forget about the dreams we once dreamed about and planned to accomplish. We stop hoping and stop living our lives and "fall" into a complacent pattern that never seems to cease. TODAY, I would like to encourage you to rededicate yourself. Rededicate yourself to God. Rededicate yourself to those dreams you once dreamed, to those plans you once talked about, to those aspirations that once filled your thoughts and permeated your mind. This is a time of rededication, so no excuses! Simply stand up wherever you are and rededicate your life, thoughts, and will to God's plan for your life. Dream, Plan, and Believe, but most of all, at this point in your "life," Rededicate Yourself!

Choose God's Way

We are living in a time right now where there are so many choices to choose from. There is a little something for everyone's taste. If someone disagrees with a particular principle, they can choose another that will fit their own desires. I know the saying "Choose God's Way" sounds like a cliche, but it is more than just that. The word "choose" means that there is a choice that can be made. You have the opportunity to make up your own mind, and it is your responsibility to choose wisely. God has a way- Jesus Christ. When you choose God's way, you're choosing His Son, who IS the way, the truth, and the life. When you choose God's way, you are making a decision to follow Him, WHEREVER HE leads you and are willing to pray and wait for His leading. Choose God's way. Decide which way you are going to live your life in 2012. Either you will follow Him or not. It is up to you to choose. Hopefully, you will choose God's way.

Humble Yourself

James 4: 10 states, "Humble yourselves before the Lord, and He will lift you up" (NIV). As we approach this new year, my prayer is that each one of us will do the "self-inventory" check. Have we done the things God has told us to do in 2011? Have we loved and treated our neighbors as God would have us to do? Have we allowed God to change our "worldview" of how we view ourselves and others? Before we go into this new year, truly pray and seek God for direction in your life. Humble your opinions, your thoughts, and your tongue and seek Him. I believe He will answer you. 2012 is the year of great expectation. Let us humble ourselves before God, submit ourselves to Him, and allow HIm to lead us in His perfect will. God bless and Happy New Year.

Minister G. Wright

God's Promise

About a month or so ago, I had lost something that, at the time, had meant a lot to me--- my new ipod touch. I had spent a lot of money on it and was enjoying all the perks that came along with having one. One day I was in a rush and wasn't paying attention and couldn't remember where I last had it. Well, I had written it off as a loss, but I kept hearing this gentle voice (God) telling me that it was not lost but was in my house. Before my trip to Japan, I would've been upset about having lost it, but I didn't in this situation. Just 'chalked it up' as a lesson learned. Hours turned into days, days into weeks, weeks into over a month and still no ipod touch. BUT I was cool with it. Then a few minutes ago I was looking for something, and there it was, right under the bed. Now, I had searched my house from top to bottom, inside and out...had even looked in this same spot....no ipod!!! However, tonight I was looking for something else and looked in the same spot but from a different angle and saw it sitting there like, "Pick me up!" I was happy, of course, but this experience, I believe, was a test to see how would I react to having 'misplaced/lost' something this expensive and whether or not I was going to be at peace with the entire thing. But what also hit me about this experience is the fact that sDon't lose hope. Don't lose faith. God will show you what you need to see when you need to see it. God bless, and I hope this touches someone who's reading this.

It's Going To Happen!

Tonight, something happened in my life...like an epiphany. Earlier in the day, God had laid it on my heart to begin preaching again weekly on my radio show like I was doing before I had left to go on tour to Japan. I had responded, "Lord, I don't feel like preaching...This stuff I'm going through right now is wearing me out...Perhaps I can preach on Thursday." (Now, for those of you who don't know, I've been called to preach.) So, my day went along, and God really opened some doors for me today. Tonight, I went and logged in to do my radio show, and once in my acct, I had noticed that my settings were not the same. Blogtalkradio must've made a mistake 'cause none of my other tunes were there so I could play my other music...Just 3 songs were there. SO....I was on air LIVE and was like, "What am I going to do???" Then, I heard that gentle voice tell me to look in my journal and open it up. I did that and went to a previous message I had preached some months ago. Did I preach the exact same message? No, but nonetheless, I preached..after all! Why am I telling you all of this? Several things happened. I realized (recognized) that I HAVE been called to preach and that sometimes I will have to preach THROUGH my circumstances, THROUGH life's pains, THROUGH my ups and my downs, etc. I also have come to remember that as I do what GOD has called me to do that HE WILL in fact minister to my heart as I minister to the hearts and souls of His people. I hope something in this note has touched you where you are right now. Please feel free to check out my sermon "God WIll Save You!" at www.blogtalkradio.com/gwright. Ps.91:3 says, "Surely, He will save you from the fowler's snare and from the deadly pestilence." God bless you!!!

Learning To Be Free

One of the things we always love is to hear the story of the butterfly---how it starts out crawling and then builds its' own cocoon and then transforms and eventually breaks free and flies away as a butterfly. It sounds great, right?!! Well, the same thing can be said of our own lives. We are born as babies, raised and groomed by our parents, and then grow up and leave our families and start our own families...And that cycle goes on and on. We, as human beings, can be free and fly just like the butterfly. My grandmother before she went on to glory reminded me to always live for God and to put Him first in my life. Through various situations and life's experiences, I have been learning a lot, like who/ what really matters. Again, God wants us to be free so we can help others to become free---in their thinking/thought processes (mentally), physically, spiritually, emotionally, etc...Learning to be free is a decision. God has given us His Word, and with Him all things are possible. For myself, I'm learning to be free--of people's expectations, of the guilt that comes from making mistakes, forgiving myself and allowing God to speak to me through these experiences, and so on...We have one life and are responsible for what we do. May each day I live and each breath I take be spent glorifying God and spreading His Gospel in both word and song. I'm learning to be free---finally! Thank You God, and my prayer is that we all will be free. Now, I can begin to really live.

It seems like a lot of people are in this "holding" place, somewhere between their goals...somewhere in between darkness and hope. I just would like to encourage you to keep going on--that the BEST is YET to come! God's already paved the way for you. You just have to trust Him with all of your being...with everything that's in you. Don't lose hope. Don't let your heart faint from anxiety. He, Who began a good work, is FAITHFUL to complete that work in you. So, although you might not be where you'd like to be right now, just be encouraged and know that after every storm there is a rainbow....Your sunrise will come!

Finding Solace In 1

A young boy once asked his mother how she could remain calm with everything that was going on around them, and she responded to him, "I put all my trust in God. He WILL take care of us. He won't forsake us!" Then years passed by and that young boy grew up, became a man, and had challenges of his own. Like his parents, he would have trials and tribulations and would have highs and lows, but one thing he always held onto was the example of faith he saw and experienced while growing up. You, yourself, probably have had your own situations---the good, the bad, and the ugly--- as well, but I'd like to encourage you that FINDING YOUR SOLACE In 1 is one of the best things that can happen to you. When you can find that peace in 1, while you are going through your storm, your life will change. You will not be moved by what you see but will remain grounded in the 1 WHO said HE would NEVER leave you nor forsake you. That 1 I am talking about is not a man, not a woman, not a husband, not a wife but is GOD. GOD LOVES YOU AND SENT HIS SON JESUS TO DIE ON THE CROSS FOR YOU!!! Finding solace in 1 is the opportunity of a lifetime...really! Give HIM your burdens, heartache, and cares and trust HIM...no matter what! He WILL take care of you! Just watch and see!

Sometimes, we, like the Israelites in the Bible, keep having to go around the same thing or situation time after time after time. And, we often ask the Lord why are we going through this over and over again. I just want to encourage you to "Get The Lesson!" Whatever it is that you're going through, learn the lesson you are supposed to learn, whether it is dealing with relationships/ friendships, finances, work, etc. In every part of your life, through every situation or even hardship, ask the Lord to show you what you are supposed to learn from it. This is the time and the day for you to do great things. Get the lesson now so you can move on to even better things. God bless.
